Robert Horn, Ph.D.


Dr. Robert Horn is an Associate Professor in motor behavior at Montclair State University in New Jersey, where he has been employed since 2003. Dr. Horn’s research has focussed on the visual control of action, tactical knowledge in sports, and more recently,  the visual and tactical responses of police officers in stressful encounters. Dr. Horn has authored 25 research papers and book chapters, and his work has been cited over 1100 times. His future research with the police aims to more clearly outline the cognitive and attentional challenges associated with law enforcement in stressful encounters, with a view to informing police training.
