Scholarship Requirements

The VirTra and Force Science Institute Scholarship Program will provide 12 scholarship awards for individuals who are licensed law enforcement officers to attend one 5-Day Force Science Certification courses offered in 2021. Individuals may be nominated or can self apply for this scholarship.

The course fee of $1,650 will be paid in full by the VirTra and Force Science Institute.

Requirements

  • Licensed Law Enforcement Officer
  • Able to Attend Course in 2021
  • Recipients Responsible for Transportation, Accommodations, and Meals
  • Apply before 11:59 PM CT, October 25, 2020
  • Individuals who apply or are nominated will only be allowed a single submission for the drawing.
  • Please note, this is a random drawing. Recommendation letters and resumes will not increase your chances of being selected.

Become Certified as a Force Science Analyst

Individuals who successfully complete this program will be certified as Force Science Analysts. This designation attests that the holder has been trained to recognize and articulate important psychological, biological, and physiological factors that can influence human behavior and memory in force encounters and pursuit situations.

Winner Announcement

Winners will be drawn at random on Friday, October 30, 2020.

An email notification will be sent to each award winner to select the Force Science training event they would like to attend in 2021.
