I didn’t know Ed well, but I knew him well enough to know that he was one of the most ethical, generous, kind, intelligent, humble and genuine people I’ve ever known. He was a true leader who molded ILEETA into the great organization it is, and was wise enough to pass the torch on to Harvey, who has continued his work in making ILEETA the world’s premium police training organization. When I think about Ed’s passing, I mourn, but I also can’t help but remember this famous quote from Gen. George S. Patton: “It is . . . wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.” God bless you, Ed. You will never be forgotten.
